L&D Project Manager:
On behalf of our financial services client, Procom is searching for an L&D Project Manager for a contract role. This position is hybrid (4 days in office) in Toronto.
L&D Project Manager - Job Description:
The L&D Project Manager will lead end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity Learning & Development initiatives. The role focuses on delivering learning solutions (in-person and virtual) on time, within scope, and on budget, supported by strong governance, proactive risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
L&D Project Manager - Responsibilities:
- Build understanding of overall portfolio/program movement across lines of business and how assigned projects align to long-term business priorities.
- Drive L&D processes to implement learning solutions across multiple formats (in-person/virtual ILT, eLearning, webinars, self-directed pathways, workshops).
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of medium-to-high complexity L&D projects to deliver on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Support vendor selection, engagement, and onboarding when third-party learning solutions are in scope.
- Develop and execute effective stakeholder engagement strategies.
- Build relationships and maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report on project progress to project teams and business stakeholders at varying levels.
- Partner with L&D teams and business partners to support delivery strategy, change & launch communications, and maintenance planning.
- Maintain tight governance and actively manage/resolve risks and issues.
- Conduct project retrospectives and apply lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging project management trends, including Agile and hybrid practices.
L&D Project Manager - Mandatory Skills:
- Significant project management experience (minimum 7 years), preferably in a learning/adult training environment.
- L&D project management experience as a primary role (learning solution design and development).
- Experience managing medium-to-high complexity projects (scope, schedule, budget).
- Strong MS Project and MS Office Suite proficiency.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills; high attention to detail.
- Experience in banking/financial services and/or insurance.
L&D Project Manager – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- PMP and/or Agile/Scrum certification.
- Program management experience.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles across delivery methods.
- Experience with LMS/LXP platforms and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Webex).
- Familiarity with eLearning tools/standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, HTML5) and development software (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise).
L&D Project Manager – Assignment Length:
This is a contract assignment from July 20, 2026 to October 16, 2026.
