Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Estimating to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. This pivotal role involves overseeing project estimates to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation, supporting our mission to provide top-tier mechanical services. The Estimating Manager will play a key part in driving the success of our projects and maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the preparation of detailed project estimates for mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate cost projections.
- Review and analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Utilize estimating software such as Trimble MEP and Bluebeam to prepare proposals.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards and client requirements.
- Support project managers during the bidding process and project execution.
- Continuously improve estimating processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating within the mechanical contracting industry.
- Strong proficiency with Bluebeam, Trimble MEP , and other estimating tools.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
