Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday
About the Role
Al Manarat Islamic School is seeking an experienced and committed Full-Time Hifz Teacher to support male and female students in Qur’an memorization, revision, Islamic character development, and disciplined learning habits.
We are looking for a teacher who understands that Hifz is not only about memorizing Qur’an, but also about building adab, taqwa, discipline, respect, confidence, responsibility, and love for the Book of Allah.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience teaching Hifz, preferably with exposure to traditional Indian/Subcontinent Hifz systems, memorization techniques, revision structures, student monitoring, and tarbiyah-focused classroom management.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Qur’an memorization with correct tajweed, fluency, and consistency.
Create individualized Hifz plans for students based on their level, pace, retention, and learning ability.
Maintain strong daily revision systems, including sabaq, sabqi, manzil, and long-term review.
Use effective memorization techniques, repetition methods, listening strategies, and retention tracking.
Build students’ discipline, punctuality, respect for teachers and parents, humility, and responsibility.
Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with administration and parents.
Maintain a calm, structured, respectful, and spiritually uplifting classroom environment.
Identify students who are struggling emotionally, academically, or behaviourally and provide supportive intervention.
Follow school policies, child safety expectations, supervision procedures, and professional conduct standards.
Support Islamic school culture through adab, salah discipline, Qur’anic reminders, and positive role modelling.
Qualifications
Strong Qur’an recitation and memorization background.
Previous experience teaching Hifz students in a structured full-time or part-time setting.
Strong tajweed and makharij knowledge.
Experience with Indian/Subcontinent Hifz methodology is an asset.
Ability to manage students with different abilities, behaviours, and motivation levels.
Strong tarbiyah mindset and ability to connect Qur’an learning with character development.
Excellent communication skills with parents, students, and school leadership.
Reliable, punctual, professional, and committed to Islamic values.
Ijazah, alim course, Islamic studies background, or formal Qur’an teaching certification is an asset.
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who knows the “hidden work” behind successful Hifz: consistency, revision discipline, emotional support, student psychology, sincere encouragement, firmness with mercy, and long-term mentorship.
This role is suitable for a teacher who sees Hifz as an amanah and wants to help students become people of Qur’an in their manners, speech, salah, family life, and future leadership.
