Responsibilities:
- Conduct basic mental health assessments
- Administer OAT (Opioid Agonist Therapy) such as Suboxone, Kadian, or Methadone
- Collaborate effectively with RCMP team members
- Perform basic health assessments and monitor patient well-being
- Manage medications and assist with basic medication administration
- Provide basic wound care and ensure timely treatment
- Respond to emergency situations with Basic Life Support (BLS) level care until paramedics arrive
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License: Must hold a valid license in British Columbia
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with an emphasis on empathy and patient care
- Independence: Ability to work autonomously while maintaining a collaborative approach
- Organizational Skills: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work under pressure
- Experience: Previous experience in Emergency or Critical Care is an asset but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency required; experience with electronic charting is an asset but not mandatory
