SUMMARY:
The SAO Replenishment Analyst is responsible for ensuring the right product is replenished in the right quantities to meet demand through automated store replenishment processes. Acting as a critical connection between Stores, Merchandising, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Optimization, and Distribution Operations, the analyst leverages system-generated forecasts, inventory insights, and business knowledge to optimize in-stock performance while supporting sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and release system-generated purchase orders while monitoring inventory levels to ensure product availability and minimize excess stock.
- Analyze sales, promotions, seasonality, and local market factors to understand forecasting performance and inventory outcomes.
- Proactively identify and address inventory risks, replenishment exceptions, and ordering challenges that impact store operations.
- Collaborate with Stores, Merchandising, Operations, Logistics, Distribution Centres, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain teams to support effective product flow and execution.
- Use data, reporting, and trend analysis to identify opportunities, uncover root causes, and provide actionable business recommendations.
- Support process enhancements, new technology implementations, and innovation initiatives that improve inventory productivity, operational efficiency, and replenishment performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years of analytical experience, ideally within a grocery retail, supply chain, replenishment, inventory management, or operations environment.
- University degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience working with data, reporting tools, or analytics platforms is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommendations from multiple data sources.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Customer-focused mindset, sound business acumen, and a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work with limited supervision while effectively managing competing priorities and changing business needs.
- Knowledge of SAP, replenishment systems, forecasting tools, or store ordering processes would be an asset.
- Availability to support a rotating holiday schedule as required
- Availability to work weekends.
- Ability to travel occasionally within Ontario or Quebec to stores, warehouses, or head office locations.
