The right candidate must have an Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma providing the candidate with a Level 2 or Level 3
We require a clean criminal record check that includes the vulnerable sector and a valid first aid certificate. Experience working in the childcare field is required.
Our starting wage includes the level 2 top up of $5.05
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental and educational needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities. Duties
- Plan and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental stages of children in your care
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth
- Monitor and document children's progress, behaviours, and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized attention
- Maintain organized classroom records and documentation in accordance with licensing requirements
- Lead classroom routines such as circle time, snack time, and outdoor play
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with early childhood education best practices
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or equivalent credential
- Experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable
- Knowledge of child development principles, early childhood education strategies, and special education needs
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Proficiency in computer operation, including classroom management software and documentation tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide children confidently while fostering independence
- Strong writing skills for accurate record keeping and reporting purposes

Pay: $21.05-$24.62 per hour
