We are looking for a dedicated Hotel Maintenance Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate is a strong problem‑solver with general handyperson experience, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently while supporting both the hotel and casino as needed. Experience in trades, construction, or hospitality maintenance is an asset. Experience with pool systems or electrical work will be considered a strong advantage.
This position requires a balance of friendly, helpful interactions with guests and staff, along with consistent, high‑quality execution of maintenance duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete minor work orders, including replacing ceiling tiles, filters, and light bulbs; patching vinyl; painting; and performing repairs to pipelines, toilets, sinks, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment.
- Carry out assigned preventative maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
- Monitor and maintain the efficiency of equipment and electrical systems such as HVAC controls, guest entrance/access doors, televisions, and lighting systems, performing minor repairs or replacements as needed.
- Refurbish and repair guest room furniture and fixtures, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters; paint and finish items when required.
- Assist with minor plumbing repairs, including pipelines, toilets, sinks, and equipment in kitchen and laundry areas.
- Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the building exterior, grounds, pool area, and fitness/sports facilities, including signage and lighting.
- Follow procedures that ensure the security of tools, supplies, equipment, furniture, and other assets; replenish inventory efficiently while minimizing waste.
- Report unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment promptly to management.
- Respond to guest requests and questions in a courteous, timely manner to support strong guest satisfaction.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
- Perform additional duties as assigned while adhering to all Company and Brand Standards.
Qualifications
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada (no sponsorship available).
- General maintenance, construction, or handyperson experience required.
- Hospitality maintenance experience is an asset.
- Experience with pool systems (chemical balancing, pump systems, safety compliance) is an asset.
- Electrical experience or familiarity with basic electrical troubleshooting is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and a guest‑focused attitude.
