Security Officer (Temporary Part-time)

natural leader possessing excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, you have recent experience working with the public in a law and security role, preferably in Police Services and/or as a hospital Security Guard. Collaborating with front-line clinical staff, patients, and members of the community, you are responsible for their safety at all times, ensuring security is in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Recent security experience attending to mental health patients in an Emergency Department or similar care facility, including patient sitting, providing 1-on-1 patient observation and participating as a member of a patient care team, is an asset. You have a diploma in law and security from a recognized community college or from a police training facility, and up-to-date CPR certification. Also, you possess current licensure as a security guard with the Private Security and Investigative Services branch of the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services.
