Job Description:

Your primary role will be to assist the Management team with data entry, inventory control number entry, organisation of inbound and outbound shipping (to include calling shipping companies for pickups from our location), coordination with various customs brokers to confirm all paperwork and fees have been received for product shipment, CRM (client relations management - software) data entry and maintenance, customer follow-up post sales (under direction from the sales team), customer tracking pertaining to our core return program (under direction from the sales team), placing stock orders for the various departments and tracking the shipping progress of said orders, answering the phone and transferring calls to the appropriate parties, answering calls and being the gate keeper to prevent unwanted calls that tie up restricted resources and most importantly - be friendly and helpful.

In order to be successful in this position – you need to be well organized, able to take instruction from many sources, able to clearly communicate in English, independently prioritize time sensitive tasks in order to maintain deadlines (particularly important when scheduling shipping) and be punctual and dependable. You would be a frontline person so being at work on time and on schedule is quite essential. One of our company motos is to be able to provide quick customer service from our sales team and a person to talk to whenever a customer calls in.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Answering phones and directing calls
  • Data entry (imputing invoices, receipts, expenses, client info)
  • Arranging shipping and receiving with shipping companies
  • Coordinating with customs brokers
  • Customer tracking of various part returns (core rebuild program)
  • Customer post sales communication and follow-up
  • Stock ordering (in house departments)
  • Ability to handle many tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organized and able to assist others with their organization
  • Maintain a company calendar for various items
  • Seek out constructive criticisms from the labour force (for management to improve the work environment and offer better services and programs)

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Exceptional English verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer typing skills
  • Fluent computer skills ( able to work with various software including but not limited to: )
  • Office suite (word processors and spreadsheet data entry)
  • CRM suite data entry
  • Scanning and Printing
  • Internal communication chat suites
  • At least 1yr experience in warehouse logistics highly desirable
  • Experience in shipping / receiving highly desirable
  • Commitment to be dependable and on time to work required
  • Commitment to be helpful and friendly – assist with ideas and resolutions to solve problems
  • Self manage and independently work through daily work requirements without enforced direction
  • High school diploma requested but not required (literacy and good spelling required)
  • Great team player (able to rally the team to keep a positive flow in the office)
  • Steel toed work boots may be required

Compensation:

  • $15/hr ++ depending and skills
