Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Receptionist to join our busy dental practice. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, and administrative tasks. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with Tracker dental office software, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records and dental management systems is highly preferred. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures using electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix or Epic
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Manage multi-line phone systems to handle patient inquiries and appointment requests
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing using dental office management software
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
- Collect payments and explain treatment plans or financial policies to patients
- Coordinate communication between patients, dental staff, and other healthcare providers
- Ensure the front desk area is organized, tidy, and welcoming at all times
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry related to medical terminology and office procedures
Experience
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a Dental office setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Tracker or Epic is preferred
- Knowledge of Dental terminology and electronic medical records systems is advantageous
- Office experience involving front desk responsibilities, multi-line phone systems, and administrative support is essential
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and excellent communication abilities are required
- Prior experience working in a dental or healthcare environment will be considered an asset
