Job Overview
*MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1.5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN DISHWASHING, CUTTING,CHOPPING AND OTHER KITCHEN HELPER TASKS, ALONG WITH KNOWLEDGE OF FOOD SAFETY AND HANDLING* We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth food preparation and service operations within our restaurant or hospitality setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, food handling, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, counters, and storage spaces
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients as needed
- Support kitchen staff with food handling and basic cooking tasks when required
- Ensure proper storage of dishes and kitchen supplies following health and safety standards
- Help with waste disposal and recycling procedures in the kitchen
- Follow all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures diligently
Skills
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking processes is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions from chefs or supervisors
- Prior experience in hospitality, hotel service, or food service industries is advantageous but not required
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
