Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Concrete Cutter/ Coring Operator to join our growing family run construction team of 50 years. This role requires a skilled professional capable of executing precise concrete cutting and coring tasks on various projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of job related equipment operation, communicating with site supervisors, and concrete cutting techniques, contributing to high-quality construction and renovation projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on municipal/ private projects that demand technical expertise and attention to detail.
Duties
- Operate concrete cutting and coring equipment with precision to meet project specifications
- Perform all required cutting and coring operations safely as per company OHS regulations
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery for cutting and drilling asphalt and concrete surfaces

- Participating in a team environment to complete jobs when required
- Working periodically after hours and on weekends
- Participating in any required safety courses and programs to be certified
- Any additional training required will be provided
Requirements
- Proven experience as a concrete cutter or coring operator in construction or renovation settings
- Mechanical knowledge related to operations and maintenance
- Ability to understand road marking and various cutting/ coring related utilities
- Proficiency with slab saws, core drills and various related tools
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and protocols
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong understanding of cutting and coring on roadways and construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for complex tasks
- Valid class 5 drivers license with transportation to and from our shop in Ladner
- Clean Criminal Record Check
