As an HVAC/Hydronic Technical Sales and Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning market. Your goal is to provide the highest level of customer service by providing technical product information, recommendations, installation support, and technical troubleshooting. In addition, you will work to identify customer needs to promote and sell existing and new HVAC products to meet Profit Centre sales objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of HVAC products and their applications
- Support customer inquiries with technical guidance on HVAC products and installations
- Troubleshoot and help create solutions for customers when problems arise
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with vendors
- Provide quotations, technical support, and literature to customers to maintain strong relationships and help meet sales targets
- Examine market opportunities to identify new potential customers and proactively attempt to win their business.
- Provide recommendations on new products, services, and market trends to customers and Profit Centre Teammates
- Participate in trade shows, training, and vendor product meetings to remain current on product knowledge, emerging trends, rebates, and product offerings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in installation/service of HVAC/Hydronic equipment
- Valid Driver's License and Clean Driver's Abstract
- Experience in troubleshooting issues that can arise in HVAC/Hydronic systems
- Outstanding customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent relationship building skills with customers, vendors, and teammates
- Ability to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
