We are a leading wholesale building material distributor and we require a fulltime Class 1 Truck Driver for Winnipeg and rural deliveries in Manitoba.
Responsibilities
- Drive B-Train and straight truck in a safe and respectful manner.
- Load and Unload company trucks at our warehouse and customer site as required.
- Ensure product loaded on vehicle is secured in a safe and damage-free manner.
- Ensure delivery corresponds with order.
- Pre-inspect truck.
- Maintain manifest/ log book.
- Ensure that the proper documentation is maintained.
- Maintain equipment and report any damages, necessary repairs, or malfunctions.
- Always maintain good working relations with customers and coworkers through cooperative attitude and well-groomed appearance.
- Exercise good driving manners and taking precautionary measures during inclement weather conditions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment as per company requirements.
- Comply with all company policies, rules and guidelines.
- Responsible for all other duties assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Class 1 Drivers License.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience driving B-Train and/or straight truck.
- Good drivers abstract.
- Reliability is a must.
- Warehouse and forklift experience preferred.
