Nature du travail et responsabilités générales:
The teacher will be responsible for teaching English to secondary school students. The teacher will supervise student groups and provide instruction in accordance with the Alberta curriculum.
The teacher will work collaboratively with the school administration and staff to support the educational vision of the school community in the areas of teaching and learning, culture, and language.
Exigences du poste:
- Alberta teaching certification or eligibility to obtain certification;
- A Bachelor of Education degree or equivalent;
- Experience teaching secondary school students;
- Knowledge of the Alberta Education curriculum;
- A positive, responsible, and self-directed attitude;
- Excellent oral and written French language skills;
- Good oral and written English language skills;
- Strong understanding of the educational needs of students in a minority-language environment;
- Appreciation for the diversity of learners;
- Flexibility and motivation to contribute to the school community, the Francophone community, and extracurricular activities;
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without restrictions related to working with children;
- A valid Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
