We are seeking an experienced Business Development Specialist to support the continued growth of all companies within the BC Comfort Group. This role works closely with executive leadership, operations, and sales teams to strengthen our brand, identify new business opportunities, coordinate proposals and marketing initiatives, and support strategic growth across the organization.
Position Summary
This is a highly visible position supporting the business development, marketing, proposal, branding, CRM, and client engagement activities across all BC Comfort Group companies. The successful candidate will coordinate proposals and prequalification submissions, identify project opportunities, maintain marketing and CRM systems, manage digital content, support client relationships, and contribute to the long-term growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the business development, marketing, branding, and proposal activities of all companies within the BC Comfort Group.
· Assist with company branding initiatives and marketing campaigns.
· Maintain and update company profiles, qualifications, and marketing materials.
· Research and identify public and private tender opportunities.
· Monitor procurement portals and industry websites for upcoming projects.
· Prepare and submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), prequalification packages, and proposal submissions.
· Coordinate bid submissions with business development and sales teams.
· Prepare and format professional proposals, presentations, and bid documents.
· Maintain a library of project descriptions, staff resumes, certifications, references, and supporting documents.
· Maintain project databases and marketing information.
· Update website content, social media channels, and the company's LinkedIn presence.
· Create and publish content highlighting projects, company news, employee achievements, and industry updates.
· Manage and maintain the CRM system, ensuring client, consultant, and opportunity information is accurate and current.
· Track proposal status, client interactions, and business development opportunities.
· Support client relationship management through follow-ups, meetings, presentations, and communications.
· Coordinate business development events, networking opportunities and client appreciation initiatives.
· Conduct market research to identify prospective clients, market trends, and growth opportunities.
· Support recruitment marketing and hiring advertisements.
· Assist with recruitment marketing by preparing, publishing, and maintaining job postings across platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and the company website.
Required Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a business development, marketing, proposal coordination, or client services role within the building services, mechanical contracting, engineering consulting, or construction industry.
· Demonstrated experience preparing proposals, EOIs, RFQs, prequalification packages, and tender submissions.
· Strong understanding of public and private procurement and construction bidding processes.
· Experience with CRM systems and client relationship management.
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
· Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· Experience managing website content, LinkedIn, and social media platforms.
· Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Canva, Adobe InDesign, or similar software is an asset.
· Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
