Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Communication Disorders Assistant (CDA) to provide therapy to clients with Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively with our team to deliver high-quality therapy services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapy to clients with TBI in their homes, workplaces, and other settings within the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Implement creative and functional therapy approaches tailored to each client's needs.
- Communicate effectively with team members, including our supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Follow through with instructions provided by our supervising SLPs and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and think creatively.
- Must have their own liability insurance
- Functional approach to therapy.
- Effective communication skills with team members.
- Education and knowledge of TBI and related difficulties.
- Experience working with adults, particularly those with TBI.
- Access to a car and willingness to travel to clients' locations.
- Access to a computer and phone.
- Candidate will bill Therapy Spot clinic for hours worked as a contractor
- Comfort with being supervised by our Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete work as directed.
