The University of Windsor's Odette School of Business invites applications for a three to five-year Limited-Term faculty position in the area of Accounting at the rank of Lecturer commencing July 1, 2020 or earlier. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

The Odette School of Business takes a balanced approach to research and teaching. The School offers the following degrees: B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration) Co-operative Education, B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration), Bachelor of Commerce (Honours Business Administration and Computer Science) Co-operative Education, B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration and Economics), B.Comm. (Honours Business Administration and Computer Science). It also offers a full-time MBA, Fast-Track MBA (with Professional Accounting Specialization accredited by CPA Ontario for delivery of the PREP and PEP equivalent courses required to write the CPA CFE), an integrated MBA/LLB, a Master of Management and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Accounting. There are approximately 1200 full-time and 400 part-time undergraduate students, and 400 Masters-level students. The Business School has strong contacts with business and other academic institutions. The School has recently completed an expansion strategy and currently has approximately 65 full-time faculty positions. The school is AACSB accredited. Candidates for this position must have an MBA (or other appropriate graduate degree) and currently hold the CPA professional accounting designation recognized in the province of Ontario or in an equivalent jurisdiction. A current license to practice public accounting would be an asset. The successful candidate will have the appropriate background to teach, at the undergraduate and Master’s level (particularly in our MBA-PAS – Accounting Specialization), in at least two of the fields of: auditing, financial accounting and reporting, and taxation. Familiarity with the CPA educational training program and skill at applying distributed and face-to-face learning technology would be an asset. Judgment regarding potential to excel in teaching CPA Accredited courses at the graduate and undergraduate level and assist in maintaining an industry network will dominate the decision process in choosing from among qualified candidates.
