Duties
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages in accordance with company standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS for efficient order processing and cash handling
- Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide friendly service to enhance their experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area, food prep stations, and dining space
- Support food preparation tasks including assembling food items and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
- Follow food safety protocols and ensure all food industry regulations are adhered to during service
- Assist with stock replenishment, inventory checks, and general cleaning duties as needed
Skills
- Proven experience as a Barista or in food service roles with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for quick and accurate transactions
- Knowledge of food industry standards, including food safety and handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to multitask by serving customers, preparing beverages, and supporting team operations simultaneously
- Strong math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Effective communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members
- Previous experience in serving or food preparation roles is highly desirable
