Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight and packages across designated routes
- Load and unload freight using equipment such as forklifts and heavy machinery, ensuring proper handling and secure placement
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to guarantee safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and delivery receipts for all shipments
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment when necessary, including forklifts for loading and unloading cargo
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to keep vehicles in optimal condition
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience with freight handling and logistics processes.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
