Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cashier / Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. This dual-role position involves providing exceptional customer service at the register while preparing and cooking food items to meet our high standards. The ideal candidate will be organized, efficient, and passionate about delivering a positive dining experience. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and food safety within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and courteously, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change with attention to cash handling procedures
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation tasks including basic cooking, assembling orders, and portioning ingredients
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and food delivery
- Follow all sanitation and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and customers
Skills
- Experience with food preparation and food handling in a restaurant or food industry setting
- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for efficient order processing
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent cash handling skills with basic math proficiency for accurate transactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience including food prep, cooking, and serving techniques
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction
- Upselling skills to promote menu items and enhance sales performance

Pay: $15.70-$18.00 per hour
