Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing products for shipment, utilizing various warehouse equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, heavy equipment operation, and safety protocols to maintain a smooth supply chain process.
Responsibilities
- Efficiently pick and assemble customer orders using warehouse management systems and order picking tools
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and effectively
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper documentation and system updates
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments
- Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Follow safety procedures consistently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean and orderly work areas
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems for order picking and inventory control
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail for accurate order picking and inventory management
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, and move items throughout shifts
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
