Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, check them in efficiently, and manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix dental practice management software.
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during procedures by handing instruments and ensuring sterilization protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems like Dentrix, ensuring all information is current and complete.
- Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing excellent customer service at the front desk.
- Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and handle billing inquiries with clarity and professionalism.
- Manage administrative tasks such as updating medical terminology in records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and maintaining office supplies.
- Support the overall workflow of the dental office by coordinating between clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a dental office is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Dentrix is essential.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology relevant to dental care enhances communication with patients and team members.
- Proven experience as a dental receptionist or front desk staff demonstrates excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.
- Exceptional communication skills for handling multi-line phone systems, patient inquiries, and insurance verifications.
- Administrative experience that includes managing appointments, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude and attention to detail.
