Job Summary
A Solid Surface Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, finishing, and installing custom solid surface products such as countertops, vanities, reception desks, wall panels, and other architectural components. The role requires the ability to read technical drawings, operate woodworking and fabrication equipment, and produce high-quality finished products while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fabricate solid surface materials to specifications.
- Bond, seam, and thermoform solid surface products using approved fabrication techniques.
- Operate fabrication equipment including table saws, CNC routers, edge polishers, routers, sanders, and other power tools.
- Finish surfaces through sanding, polishing, and buffing to achieve seamless, high-quality results.
- Install countertops, backsplashes, sinks, and custom fabricated products at customer sites.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
- Perform repairs, refinishing, and maintenance of solid surface products when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with project managers, installers, and production team members to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in solid surface fabrication, cabinet making, woodworking, or countertop fabrication preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong measuring, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license may be required for installation duties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50–100 lbs (23–45 kg) with assistance when required.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
- Comfortable working in both shop and job-site environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CNC machining and CAD software.
- Knowledge of solid surface materials, adhesives, and fabrication techniques.
- Experience installing integrated sinks and custom edge profiles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing shop and construction site environments.

- Overtime and travel to installation sites may be required depending on project schedules.
Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
