Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pizza Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas and other menu items, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where culinary skills and customer service are valued. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals passionate about food preparation and the food industry.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pizza dough, toppings, and sauces according to established recipes and quality standards
- Cook pizzas and other menu items using appropriate kitchen equipment
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and utensils
- Assist in meal preparation during busy hours to ensure timely service
- Serve customers at the counter or assist with take-out orders as needed
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent food service experience
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service preferred, especially within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Knowledge of food handling and food safety standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Passion for food industry trends and continuous learning in culinary techniques
License/Certification
- Food Safety Certificate (Foodsafe Level 1) preferred
