Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and organization within our food service or hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cleanliness, food safety, and supporting a seamless guest experience. Previous experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel settings is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. The Steward plays a vital role in ensuring that all areas are hygienic, well-maintained, and compliant with health standards.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and food preparation areas to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks under supervision.
- Support kitchen staff by organizing supplies and maintaining stock levels of cleaning materials and disposables.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with safety protocols.
- Follow safety guidelines related to food handling, cleaning chemicals, and equipment operation.
- Support overall hospitality efforts by ensuring the environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for guests.
- Help the kitchen with light food preparation duties.
Experience
- Prior experience in restaurant, kitchen, or hotel environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is advantageous.
- Experience in food service or hospitality roles such as serving or food handling can be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
