Job Summary
Assisting the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the overall operations of the kitchen, including responsibility for the grill/entree station and pasta station (working on pans during service).
- Prepare and cook menu items on the grill and entrée station according to restaurant recipes and quality standards
- Cook pasta dishes to order using sauté pans, ensuring proper timing, consistency, and presentation
- Manage multiple tickets efficiently during busy service periods
- Operate hot line stations including grill, sauté, and pasta pans with confidence and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of assigned stations throughout service
- Ensure consistent food quality and timely service during peak periods
- Assist with prep work, restocking, and daily station setup
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedure
- PM Shift – Start time between 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM – closing between 11:00 PM to Midnight
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of progressive kitchen or line cook experience
- Experience on grill, sauté, or pasta stations is an asset
- Strong ability to work with pans in a fast-paced line environment
- Strong work ethic with willingness to learn and grow
- Good organizational and teamwork skills
- Valid Food Safe certification or provincial equivalent
- Ability to perform under pressure with strong attention to detail
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
