We’re looking for top talent to be the face of this new team. The role involves building out the newly formed team from training, sales strategies and activity models to setting sales objectives and guidelines for engagement with advisors across the Greater Toronto region.
As the AVP, Inside Sales, you will:
Lead and support a newly formed inside sales team, dedicated to growth in the insurance markets and own relationships with external wholesaling teams
Act as an important influencer in the evolution of the inside sales team, both within the team and across the organization
Work with and influence the business on product, service, customer and advisor experiences
Establish effective processes and practice and monitor workflow to ensure inside sales representatives have the necessary tools to deliver exceptional sales and service
Contribute to the development of inside wholesaling sales strategies and growth opportunities within the insurance portfolio
Be accountable for the team’s achievement of sales objectives and activity targets
Provide leadership and coaching to drive performance and initiate tactics to drive results, including weekly/month meetings to review sales and activity metrics
Work closely with leadership to understand top priorities, regional sales plans and how plans cascade to the inside sales team
Formalize a process and cadence of communication between external and inside sales teams
Create a culture of transparency in measurement
Maintain a pipeline of talent with top universities/colleges
Who we are looking for:
Post-secondary education and degree in a related field (i.e., business school)
6-9 years’ experience in the financial services/investment industry preferred
Completion of LLQP is an asset
Inspire a vision that adapts to new realities, articulating meaningful expectations and creating clear pathways to desired outcomes
Understand the environment and advisor/customer needs to create a competitive advantage
Offer a solid sales and product background that lends itself to easy knowledge transfer for the team, through coaching, training and development conversations
Foster collaborative relationships across functions and the business, to facilitate the exchange of information and best practices that improve customer outcomes
Act as a change agent, sponsor and influencer for a client-centric approach
Foster an environment of innovation, learning and integration of new digital technologies
Support the hiring, coaching and developing of talent with the use of effective human resources and performance management techniques
