Why is this role important?
Execute and communicate the value of the product to the customer through the creation of packaging copy while respecting brand guidelines. Create and edit high-quality, consistent and error-free packaging copy, within timelines and budget.
Create the balance between Brand Standards, Product Development and Regulatory requirements through execution of copy.
Create or update error-free creative copy while considering limitations of language, space, regulatory requirements and design for all projects as required.
Communicate the value proposition to target audience pursuant to brand standards.
Leverage systems and tools to create copy.
Maintain current knowledge of styles & trends and evolve copy as required.
Execute copy within prescribed timelines to support speed to market initiative. Participate in creative brainstorming and ideation sessions.
Support business initiatives and share opportunities and ideas for process and technological improvements.
Internal Partnerships and Collaboration
Attend / participate in meetings and collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver on business requirements (could include attendance at meetings, townhalls, etc)
Process Governance and Adherence to Guidelines
Influence English copy with industry knowledge of styles & trends.
Review and provide feedback as it relates to the copy layout and placement within design.
Develop and or update brand guidelines, as required.
Drive towards Editorial performance targets / KPIs
College diploma or higher in related field.
Team player, ability to work collaboratively. Previous experience being a part of a copy-writing team Is required.
1 – 3 years’ experience as a packaging copywriter a must.
Knowledge of workflow management / prioritization in a dynamic environment an asset.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and a strong ability to build relationships
