Position Summary
We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Planner / Operations Coordinator to support our 3PL Distribution Centre operations.
This role is critical to ensuring accurate order planning, prioritization, and fulfillment in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will act as the central point of coordination between warehouse teams, customer service, and logistics to ensure all orders are processed efficiently and in alignment with customer SLAs and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Order Planning & Fulfillment Coordination
- Manage and prioritize orders based on Customer Requested Dates (CRDs) and operational deadlines
- Assign and release work to warehouse teams using WMS/RF systems
- Monitor open order pools, ensuring must-ship and rush orders are prioritized
- Coordinate order flow across shifts to maintain productivity and service levels
- Work closely with Customer Service to resolve order issues, discrepancies, and updates
System & Inventory Management
- Process EDI and non-EDI orders, ensuring accuracy and timely communication
- Monitor inventory discrepancies, shorts, and order exceptions
- Ensure all orders are properly updated and tracked within WMS and related systems
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
- Create and manage shipping documentation including BOLs and packing slips
- Coordinate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely dispatch
- Support appointment scheduling and outbound shipment planning
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Track and report on KPIs including order accuracy, on-time fulfillment, and productivity
- Identify bottlenecks and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate reporting and operational documentation
Team Coordination
- Provide direction and support to warehouse coordinators and floor teams
- Communicate priorities clearly to ensure alignment across operations
- Support supervisors with real-time decision-making and issue resolution
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a warehouse, distribution, or 3PL environment
- Experience in order planning, order management, or fulfillment coordination
- Strong knowledge of WMS systems and RF scanning
- Experience working with EDI/VMS systems is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

- Interaction with forklifts, dock activity, and warehouse equipment
- Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
