Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine diagnostics, brake service, suspension work, and electrical troubleshooting
- Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs and modifications
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to identify issues and implement solutions
- Assemble or disassemble vehicle components as needed for repair or replacement
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Maintain detailed records of work performed for each vehicle
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Assist with vehicle inspections and prepare vehicles for customer pickup or delivery
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing client concerns
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience (5 years or more), preferably in a dealership setting or similar environment-can be Canadian or International experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair procedures
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills for effective customer interaction
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workshop environment
- Must have Minimum High School Diploma/ Certificate/Apprentiship
