As a Relief Worker at our Therapeutic Homes in Richmond, you will be responsible for assisting with the specialized care and day-to-day health and well-being of the clients in our therapeutic program. You will work on a casual basis and will work shifts as assigned by the program supervisor to cover ongoing vacant shifts or emergency leaves. Shifts are 8 hours/day (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am)
Qualifications:

Effective de-escalation and crisis management skills

Ability to follow behavioural support plans

Clear and concise written and verbal communication

Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check and Ministry of Children and Family Development consolidated check. Please note: if you have resided outside of Canada since the age of 18, you will need to provide an out of country criminal record check

Proof of COVID-19 double vaccination record or exemption from the provincial health authority

Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License. Please note a BC Class 5 Driver's License is mandatory, and you will need to show this during an interview

Preference will be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry
A sample of what you’ll be doing:

Writing documentation (critical incident reports, email updates to care team, etc.)

As part of a team, be responsible for the day-to-day care of the client and programming continuation.

Performing household maintenance duties, preparing meals, administering medication

Drive adult/youth to various locations, including school, medical appointments, outings, etc.

Encouraging and modelling acceptable social standards and setting and maintaining appropriate limits

Collaborating with the clinical team and providing input into assessments and youth care plans
Salary: $24.15/hr plus 4% in lieu of vacation time.
