Our client, is seeking a knowledgeable Maintenance Supervisor to provide direction and leadership to our maintenance department of licensed mechanics and set up technicians
Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction to maintenance team members in order to achieve maximum department efficiency
- Handles team member inquiries in a professional and confidential matter as required
- Responsible for managing the predictive/preventative maintenance program including implementing continuous improvements
- Accountable for advancing the department technical development through initiating additional training
- Initiates and implements continuous improvement projects
- Monitors the effectiveness of work order hours weekly to ensure minimal reoccurrences and provides corrective actions as required
- Responsible for monitoring predetermined machine part inventory stock levels and maintaining existing vendor relations
- Participates in cross functional corrective action meetings and assigns action items as required
- Provides maintenance historical data to support new program launches as required to support new equipment builds etc. (APQP)
- Monitors labour costs and determines overtime hours as required in order to support production requirements
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED
- Conceptual knowledge of electrical and programming principles for machine diagnosis (servo drives)
- Familiar with the principles of maintenance systems (work order, preventative maintenance)
- Practical knowledge of welding (MIG, TIG, Arc)
- Theoretical knowledge of robotics/automation
- Licensed Trade (Millwright, MTBI, Tool & Die)
- Minimum of two (2) years’ supervisory/leadership experience preferably in a maintenance manufacturing setting
- Minimum of five (5) years’ maintenance licensed experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Practical knowledge of cold forming and bending of various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless) with small diameters
MONDAY TO FRIDAY 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Pay: $45.00 per hour
