As Manager, Innovation & Initiatives you will:
Assist with formal change management practices.
Assess readiness for change and roll out change preparedness workshops as required.
Work to promote innovation and more efficient ways of doing things within Kawartha.
Chair an Innovation Panel to ensure new ideas and changes to the manner in which we do things at Kawartha is managed through an effective process.
Participate and monitor change items managed through a formal Project Management process.
Take on change initiatives for Delivery and Administration that are not assigned to Project Manager Officer (PMO).
For those projects managed by PMO, involvement in pre-project work around readiness for change and then post-project hand over to operating unit. Focus on ensuring the sustainability of projects and realization of intended benefits.
Communicating progress with initiatives and/or projects.
Post-secondary education with an emphasis in change management methodology.
A PMP designation is preferred with sound understanding of the project lifecycle and communicating with project stakeholders.
7 - 10 years’ experience in a combination of change management and business leadership roles. Similar experience delivering initiatives across multiple business units and third-party providers.
A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
Experience leading a variety of projects involving large cross-enterprise teams across multiple disciplines and of a business/functional unit significance using skills such as: Project Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Monitoring, and Closing Projects
Experience as Senior Business Analyst would be an asset.
Previous experience in a financial institution would be an asset
Experience working with Project Management software.
