Overview:
Medaca is looking for an Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist to join our team onsite!
The Bilingual Early Intervention Specialist assumes primary responsibility in the management and administration of an assigned caseload. The EIS is responsible for developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with case managers, other disability management staff of Medaca’s clients, and the Medaca team, pro-actively suggesting improvements and troubleshooting problems on a daily basis. Reports to Directors of Early Intervention Services.
The schedule for this role is Monday to Friday 8:00-4:00pm or 8:30-4:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage assigned caseload. Responsible for timely management of all cases

Book assessments, review and send reports to clients, and always provide excellent client service. Handle escalations by informing managers as required

Review medical files. Inquire about potentially complex files to client case managers

Establish and maintain a positive relationship with doctors’ offices, patients, psychiatrists, and client case managers via clear and effective communication (via phone and email)

Assist with calls to family physician clinics and help facilitate communication between parties

Ad hoc projects as required; responsible for the timely and accurate management of any projects as assigned (ex., interpreting Excel data and creating brief summaries/reports, assisting with additional phone calls)
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education is an asset, or experience in a related field

Customer service experience is required; call center experience is an asset

Strong organizational and time management skills necessary in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Accuracy and attention to detail, producing error-free work

Strong written and verbal communication and comprehension skills in French and English. Professional phone etiquette is required

Ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling confidential information

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Highly motivated and takes initiative

Flexible and adaptable

Collaborative with both team members as well as external clients and partners

Personal interest in the mental health field with the goal of providing excellent care and service for patients

High level of French proficiency is required- reading. writing and spoken
