Service Security Systems Technician
TELSCO Security Systems - Edmonton, AB
Company Description:
TELSCO Security Systems is a well-established full-service electronic security company based in Edmonton, Alberta. We are currently looking to fill an immediate opening for a full-time, experienced, locally-based Technician with knowledge of alarm, CCTV and access control systems to help service our growing Alberta client base. This is a full-time position, 40+ hours per week, with some variation depending on the customer’s needs. Job Duties:
- Burglar alarm, CCTV, and Access Control Installation and service tasks including pre-wiring, installation, programming, commissioning, and trouble-shooting.
- Respond to customer technical inquiries, and provide basic customer training for proper system usage.
- Consistent commitment to following best practice safety procedures, documenting work, and communicating with staff.
- Work in a company committed to Safety
Qualifications:
- Strong technical orientation is required, including knowledge of computers and networking, as well as comfort working with electronic devices. Familiarity with ULC standards and alarm.com would be an asset.
- Knowledge of alarm systems such as DSC, Honeywell, Paradox, GE, and 2gig
- Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call service (After training 2-3 years)
- Ability to work under pressure, and adapt to unexpected circumstances
- Ability to travel primarily within Alberta (valid class 5 driver’s license required)
- 3 years of Clean Canadian insurance /driving history& a clean criminal record check
