Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools, ensuring the reliable operation of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and related components
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
- Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential mechanical problems before they escalate
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades as needed
- Keep work area clean and organized to promote a safe working environment
Experience
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.
- Familiarity with power tools used in automotive repair and maintenance tasks
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred
