General Repairs Specialist (aka Handyman/woman): Capable, Reliable and Teachable - We are searching for an experienced handy person to manage multiple work orders and smaller repairs. Work will include minor plumbing, some drywall repairs, painting and minor carpentry. Candidates should be exposed to a variety of trades and be adaptable and willing to learn new skills. Candidate must have a proven track record of getting jobs done effectively while dealing kindly with tenants or customers
Duties and Jobs
- Able to manage a variety of work orders in a timely manner or as required within specified deadlines
- Knowledge of a variety of trades including plumbing, rough and finish carpentry, drywall and basic electrical (preferred but not required)
- Assist in completion of unit flips and restores
- General maintenance skills
- Completing smaller repairs or working as part of a team on larger renovations
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills – able to work with both customers and office team members
- Previous experience in the restoration field including water extraction and water damage, residential or commercial emergency cleaning and general restoration experience will be beneficial
- Must have your own basic tools and phone
- Basic technical /computer skills
- Clean driver's record and valid driver’s license
- Resourceful and adaptable
- Commitment to health and safety requirements
- Be capable of lifting heavy objects daily- More than 50lb.
- A positive, 'can-do" attitude
- IICRC Certification will be preferred and eventually required
- Clear criminal record police certificate will be requested
- Ability to work a limited rotation of after-hours and "on call" shifts

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
