We are seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to support Nutrition, Food, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES) across the South Zone. Reporting to the Executive Director, NFLES, you will lead recruitment and onboarding activities while partnering with operational leaders, Human Resources, and Talent Acquisition Advisors to deliver a consistent and positive candidate and new employee experience. You will coordinate recruitment initiatives, support workforce planning, develop standardized recruitment and onboarding processes, and contribute to continuous quality improvement through innovative solutions, including SharePoint and workforce analytics. Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director, Nutrition, Food, Linen and Environmental Services (NFLES), the Onboarding Coordinator supports recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning activities across multiple acute care and rural sites within the South Zone. Working collaboratively with Managers, Supervisors, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition Advisors, and other stakeholders, this position helps deliver a consistent recruitment and onboarding experience while supporting organizational workforce initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment activities from requisition to onboarding, posting vacancies, screening applicants, conducting pre-screen interviews, scheduling and participating in interviews, completing reference checks, preparing recruitment documentation, and supporting hiring recommendations. The incumbent monitors vacancies and recruitment metrics to support workforce planning and operational decision-making. The Onboarding Coordinator coordinates new employee orientation, develops onboarding resources, and ensures new employees receive the information, training, and tools needed for a successful transition. This position develops standardized recruitment and onboarding processes, creates interview guides and recruitment resources, and supports continuous quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will build strong working relationships with operational leaders and corporate partners while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, SharePoint, workforce reporting, and process improvement will support success in this role. Travel throughout the South Zone is required.

Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Minimum two (2) years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, onboarding, workforce planning, human resources, healthcare administration, or a related field within a complex organization. Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently with a high level of organization, initiative, sound judgment, and accountability. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Valid Class 5 Driver's License and willingness to travel throughout the South Zone as required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Experience recruiting and selecting both unionized and non-unionized employees within a large, complex, and diverse organization. Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment, interviewing, candidate assessment, and onboarding best practices. Experience collaborating with operational leaders, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition Advisors, and other stakeholders throughout the recruitment process. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret workforce data, monitor recruitment metrics, and support workforce planning initiatives. Demonstrated experience developing and implementing standardized recruitment, onboarding, and operational processes. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative working relationships while providing a high level of customer service. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional and personal development.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within AHS or a large multi-site healthcare organization. Experience supporting Nutrition, Food, Linen, Environmental Services, or Portering. Experience developing SharePoint sites, workforce analytics, operational reporting, or recruitment metrics. Knowledge of e-People and AHS recruitment systems. Experience facilitating orientation or onboarding. HR, Project Management, Lean, or Change Management certification is an asset.
