Licensed 310S Automotive Technician / Apprentice Level 2 or 3
Tony Van Bommel & Sons Garage / Redstar Garage is looking to add an experienced Automotive Technician to our team. We are a busy, family-run automotive repair shop located in Ilderton, Ontario, serving our community with honest, high-quality repairs and customer service. We are looking for someone dependable, skilled, and motivated who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a strong shop environment.
We are primarily looking for a Licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician, but we will also consider Level 2 or Level 3 apprentices depending on experience, skill level, and qualifications.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair customer vehicles accurately and efficiently
- Perform general automotive repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, electrical, drivability, cooling systems, maintenance, and safety-related repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to troubleshoot vehicle concerns
- Complete inspections and identify required repairs
- Communicate clearly with service staff regarding findings, repair recommendations, and labour requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Road test vehicles before and after repairs when required
- Work independently while also supporting the rest of the shop team
- Follow proper repair procedures and maintain high workmanship standards
Qualifications:
- Licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician preferred
- Level 2 or Level 3 apprentice may be accepted depending on experience and ability
- Valid driver’s licence required
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills
- Ability to work on a variety of makes and models
- Own tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Good communication skills with staff and customers when needed
