The Tie-In Technician performs hands-on field work, including piping, fusion, manifold installation, pressure testing, and system commissioning. Suitable candidates must be comfortable working on construction sites, able to perform the physical requirements, and have experience working outdoors in all weather.
What you will do
- Execute fusion techniques and perform testing on geothermal systems
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and system adjustments
- Perform loop clearing and unblocking as required
- Support excavation, compaction, and backfilling activities as required
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and field layouts
- Use, maintain, and care for tools and fusion equipment
- Operate or assist with heavy equipment (e.g., mini excavators, skid steers) when qualified
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
- Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures
What you should know
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
- Valid G driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle (required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Minimum 2 years of construction experience; plumbing experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience operating machinery on construction sites is an asset
