As a premier member of the OWHL U22Elite, the Jr. Hornets are part of the highest level of Jr. Women’s hockey in Ontario. We pride ourselves on producing the best players on and off the ice, who are recruited by the best hockey schools in North America. We also work hard to provide opportunities for multi-media producers to get a start in the industry by contributing to the top livestream and media production team in the league.

Internship Structure
Reporting to the Senior Media Manager on game days, interns will help with the setup, execution, and teardown of livestream equipment for all home games. The Broadcast Camera Interns will assist the Livestream Manager with filming each home game. The Photography Intern will assist the Senior Media Manager with photographing each home game. The Gameday Social Media Assistant will assist with the c4apture and posting of content in alignment with our team’s branding and messaging during each home game. Whether you’re in high-school or University, we want to make sure this opportunity counts towards a credit or high school volunteer hours.
Internship Duties
- Film & publish clips for Instagram Stories throughout each home game (Socials)
- Write live tweets & threads updates throughout each home game (Socials)
- Co-Ordinate with Senior Media Manager and Livestream Manager for score update posts & scheduling (Socials)
- Assist with special event gameday ops co-ordination as requested
- Operation of Livestream cameras
- General Action Shot Photography
- Assist in pre-game setup & post-game takedown of livestream equipment
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a University Program or High School requiring internship/ volunteer hours
- Competent knowledge and confidence in using Instagram, Threads, X, and Tik Tok
- Comfortable making story posts, providing live written commentary of each game
- Camera operation experience/interest
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is considered an asset
- Ability to lift 20lbs
- Owning your own camera is an asset
- Demonstrated hockey knowledge, familiarity with U22Elite OWHL is an asset
- Available for all home games (Weekends, some Weekday evenings)
