Position Overview
Central Alberta Sports Club is seeking an organized and passionate individual for a dual administrative and coaching position. This role combines hands-on court coaching during active seasons with year-round administrative support to keep our youth sports programs running smoothly.
Schedule & Hours
- Coaching (~20 hours/week): Active for roughly 37 weeks per year across competitive club, camp, and grass seasons. Includes evenings and weekends.
- Administration (~5 hours/week): Year-round light administrative duties and email management. Workload varies slightly depending on registration periods.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Court Coaching & Operations: Plan and lead practice sessions, camps, and clinics for athletes up to the U18 competitive level.
- Logistics: Transport club equipment (balls, net systems, training gear) to practices, clinics, and events. Manage game-day logistics and coach teams during weekend tournaments.
- Administration: Assist with schedules, facility bookings, and roster spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Communication: Manage year-round email communications with parents, coaches, and facility managers. Track program registrations and general operational tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Coaching Experience: Proven background in volleyball, with the technical knowledge to coach up to the U18 level.
- Licence & Transit: Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation capable of moving volleyball equipment carts and gear.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Communication: Professional, clear written communication for answering emails and interacting with club families.
- Clearances: Ability to provide a clean Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
