Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight and materials across various locations. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Candidates with skills in forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair are highly valued to support operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 commercial vehicles for the transportation of freight and materials.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Support warehouse operations by handling freight movement and equipment operation as required.
Skills
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in freight transportation and commercial driving environments.
- Proficiency in forklift operation and heavy equipment handling.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and clients.

Pay: $31.50-$33.50 per hour
