Reporting to the Associate Manager of Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Specialist conducts audits of cedant administration data, completes internal reviews of business setup, responds to queries and provides expert opinion regarding a variety of topics. This position involves communicating and building relationships with client companies and internal customers.

Provide a high level of customer service through the timely and accurate completion of cedant administration reviews (audits).
The ability to interpret treaty (contract) terms; analyze and validate data against treaty parameters.
Prepare audit reports, monitor results, track resolution and present for review and approval.
Communicate audit results clearly and concisely to various internal and external audiences.
Manage timelines for corrective actions and ensure issues are identified to appropriate parties.
Provide guidance and input on general reinsurance topics.

Qualifications and Competencies:
Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent. (e.g. bachelor degree preferably in business administration or a business administration – related community college diploma)
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel) with the ability to generate/work with IF and VLOOKUP functions to analyze large data sets.
Strong team player with initiative, problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task with minimum supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Access, PowerPoint)
Prior Reinsurance or Insurance experience would be considered an asset
Business Analyst experience would be considered an asset
LOMA or other insurance/industry related courses are an asset
Positive attitude with client relationship/customer service experience
