Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our basement waterproofing crew. The successful candidate will assist with residential basement waterproofing projects, including excavation, preparation, drainage installation, cleanup, and general construction duties.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basement waterproofing and foundation repair work.
- Perform manual excavation and digging around foundation walls.
- Remove soil, concrete, debris, and other materials as required.
- Assist with installation of weeping tile, drainage pipe, sump systems, and waterproofing materials.
- Help prepare foundation walls for waterproofing and repairs.
- Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow instructions from the site supervisor and experienced crew members.
- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Perform other general labour duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, bending, and working outdoors.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good attitude and strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
Working Conditions
- Residential construction sites.
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Physically demanding work involving lifting, digging, and repetitive tasks.
- Work may involve wet, muddy, dusty, or confined areas.
- Must be willing to start early and work full days as required.
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
