Seeking a Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to join our highly reputable team:
Education
Completion of a three- to-four-year program in diagnostic medical sonography or ultrasound technology or completion of a two-to-three program in a related allied health field and a one-year post-diploma program in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited institution are required.
Experience
Candidate will be certified and experienced in abdominal, obstetrical and gynecological sonography. Vascular certification an asset.
Personal Suitability
Team player, excellent oral communication, patient focused, dependability, effective interpersonal skills, judgement, excellent written communication, reliability.
Supervise and train students and future sonography candidates
Specific Skills
Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce and record images. Monitor examination to evaluate quality and consistency of diagnostic images, and make adjustments to equipment as required. Record, store and process scanned images. Observe and care for patients through examinations. Prepare examination reports and worksheets for physicians. Check ultrasound equipment to ensure proper operation.
