The Dispatch is responsible for Customer Service and satisfaction. He/she is responsible for managing truck fleets and operators-truckers teams on a daily basis and oversees the day-to-day activities of the Central Dispatch, such as orders, COD sales, Customer Service, coordinate RMX concrete activities with other departments, Tracking tools management, etc. It is the first contact with which the customer contact the company and will remain the preferred link between the customer and the company during our services.
Safety: Promote a culture of safety with an objective of “zero” incidents. Ensure that work areas and surrounding areas are kept safe, presentable and functional. Participate in monthly safety meetings with personnel, supervisors and visitors. Report all safety incidents (PPE, near misses…) Act as key person in communicating with and receiving feedback on topics of safety, logistics and service.
Order Taking & Dispatch: Supervise day-to-day dispatch activities. Maintain event order daily log, manage COD pricing and sales, manage the GPS platform. Assist the central order desk in taking orders and maintaining customer relations. Ensure on-time delivery of material to customers. Ensure order / ticket information is accurate. Proactively communicate customer, delivery and system issues with dispatch, sales and back-office to ensure timely resolution. Provide solutions to conflicts and make key decisions in a timely manner. Perform root cause analysis on issues and provide solutions. Coordinate Lafarge truck fleet. Participate in the Ops/Sales daily CFOM He takes orders, plans the days ahead and communicate material requirements based on orders. He verifies that the invoicing is done correctly according to the deliveries made.

Assist with COD orders, using product knowledge, pricing and upsell

Work with Sales, QC and the operations team to maximize usage of the fleet

Education and Work Experience:
A college degree in logistics, supply chain management, business or significant industry experience.
RMX Concrete or general dispatch experiences an asset.
Knowledge and Skills:
Customer service experiences an asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to manage resources for our performance and to meet customer’s satisfaction.
Proficient in general software application and Microsoft applications.
Able to work in a team and compose yourself under pressure and stressful situations.
Demonstrated strong problem solving skills; a self-starter
Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; strong time management skills essential
Maintains composure in dealing with difficult situations; demonstrates positive customer service attitude
Strong problem solving and analytical skills and the desire to seek solutions
