Think Solutions Engineering (TSE) is seeking to hire a full-time Embedded Hardware Engineer to join our high-tech aerospace and defense (A&D) research and development (R&D) company. At TSE, you will work with a talented team to develop cutting-edge counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) and support ongoing business initiatives in A&D.
Job Description
- Develop hardware for control of UAS
- Drive electrical architecture, specification, component selection, circuit board design, implementation, verification, board bring-up, and debugging
- Work closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to rapidly develop and iterate on designs
- Applications to both military and civilian hardware
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with circuit board layout and design
- Experience with embedded systems and hardware
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in embedded systems development
- Proficiency in programming languages (Python, C/C++)
- Working knowledge of standard hardware protocols (e.g. I2C, SPI, UART)
- Experience with sensors and actuators
- Experience with UAVs, UAV control systems
- Experience with sensor fusion (EKF, etc.)
- Experience with hardware for embedded Linux platforms (SoM, SBC, etc.)
- Ability to work both independently and as a team in a highly demanding, fast-paced environment

The position will be in-person and is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
