Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Duties
- Prepare a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Serve food items and handle food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Manage cash register transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space throughout shifts
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with opening or closing duties as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
